M. OMSc.

Who is Patrick?

Patrick Suwala finished a science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo in 2015. After that, he studied for four more years to become an osteopathic manual practitioner at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. He graduated in 2020 with a special title for his training (M. OMSc.).

Patrick now visits people in their homes to give treatments and also works at Zen Wellness Clinic in Milton, Kinetic Physiotherapy and Burlington Sports and Spine Clinic in Burlington. Patrick is a member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association, which means insurance companies in Ontario recognize his work because the association has high standards.

What is Osteopathy?

This is a gentle, hands-on therapy that doesn’t use medicine or surgery. It helps the whole body feel better, not just the part that hurts, by working with muscles and soft tissues.

Osteopathic manual practitioners believe that when the body’s parts—like the nerves, muscles, and blood flow—work well together, the body can heal itself and stay healthy.

Each treatment looks at the whole body, not just one area, to see how everything is connected. Every person gets their own special treatment based on what their body needs.

Is Osteopathy For Me?

Osteopathic treatment has helped people of all ages feel better from many different injuries and health problems, such as:

  • Injuries from sports or accidents (like whiplash or long-lasting pain)

  • Headaches, migraines, and jaw pain (TMJ)

  • Pain in the neck, back, or shoulders

  • Problems like carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, or golfer’s elbow

  • Pain or tingling from sciatica

  • Swelling in the body

  • Injuries from doing the same movement over and over

  • Getting sick often with colds or sore throats

  • Back pain, sciatica, or swelling during pregnancy
